Workflow Automation

Stop copying the same information between tools.

Copying data between forms, email and business tools causes delays, and the odd cases end up with nobody owning them.

Discuss this service

What this covers

Automate the repeatable steps in a process, with retries, no duplicates, and a list of anything that needs a person.

Tools

Webhooks, Queues, REST APIs, Scheduled jobs. The exact stack depends on what you already use.

Where it helps

  • Sending incoming requests to the right team
  • Keeping approved records in sync between tools
  • Preparing scheduled summaries for review

We agree what “done” means before work starts.

What you get

  • One process automated, with retries and duplicate protection
  • A list of exceptions that need a person
  • Source code, setup notes and an agreed definition of done

The final list depends on the agreed scope. The estimate and schedule follow from it.

Data and security

Service accounts get only the access they need, webhooks are signed where possible, keys are protected, and logs leave out sensitive data.

How I work on it

Map the manual process, decide who handles failures, automate one path, test retries and duplicates, then watch a pilot.

What helps me get started

  • A short description of the process and who uses it.
  • Sample data, any API documents, and what access is available.
  • How much it will be used, who reviews the work, and your release priorities.

A short outline is enough for a first call. Please send sample data, not real records or passwords.

Questions

Does automation need AI?

Usually not. Rules and API calls are often enough. I only suggest a language model when it clearly helps and can be tested.

How do you price the work?

I look at the workflow, the systems involved, the access needed and what “done” means, then send an estimate. If there are big unknowns, we start with a short discovery or a prototype.
