MJMarry is built for people looking for marriage, not casual dating. Profiles cover faith, family and values as well as work and education, and every suggestion comes with a compatibility score.
The hard part
Many families want to be part of the search, and members want privacy and safety. The app had to support matchmakers and chaperones as real roles, with their own sign-up and dashboards, without making the everyday matching flow heavier.

What’s in the code
Mobile app
Expo and React Native with React Navigation stacks and tabs, React Native Paper, and an animated swipe deck built on PanResponder.
Chat and calls
Stream Chat and Stream Video for messaging and video calls, with Firebase Cloud Messaging for push notifications.
Roles and languages
Separate member, Khatuna and chaperone dashboards, photo verification with the camera, and i18next translations in English, Arabic, Urdu, French, Spanish and Indonesian.
A matrimonial app, end to end
I, Talha Manzoor, built the MJMarry mobile app. Matching, likes, the matchmaker directory, profiles, chaperones, chat and calls all run in the code. Chat and calls need the live Stream service, so they aren’t shown in the screens.
