Short answer
Ask to see apps they have actually shipped, find out who will write your code, get a written scope with a fixed price or clear monthly terms, and make sure the code, store accounts and servers are in your name. A small first milestone is the safest way to test any company, including mine.
Shipped apps, not just designs
Lahore has many software houses, from large companies to small teams. Ask for live apps and websites, and ask what the team built in each one.
Who you will work with
Ask whether senior engineers work on your project or only on the sales call. In a small team like HTH, you work with me directly.
A written scope
A good proposal lists features, screens, integrations, what you need to provide, the timeline and the price. Vague proposals lead to disputes later.
Ownership and access
The repository, Apple and Google developer accounts, domain and hosting should all be registered to you. The software house gets access while working.
Support after launch
Ask what happens after release: bug fixes, OS updates, monitoring, and the cost of each. Get it in writing.
