The problem.
PsychPlus offers online and in-person mental healthcare. I worked on the patient app, the provider app, and some of the web screens.
Booking a visit is more than picking a time. Which doctors are free, the visit type, the clinic’s time zone, patient forms and payment rules all affect the flow. When one of these changes, every connected screen and form has to change with it.
How I approached it.
Scheduling
I fixed scheduling screens, updated rescheduling, and corrected how each doctor’s specialty shows. I also fixed how times convert between UTC and CST, since patients and clinics are often in different time zones.
Patient forms
I worked on the pre-check-in questions and the history forms for each visit type: how symptoms are entered, and how the answers move through check-in.
Patient and provider screens
I worked on how the app keeps track of a patient’s session, on provider calendars and tablet screens, and on web forms for therapy visits. This was part of a larger team. I didn’t build the platform alone.
Releases
I set up CodePush and worked on app updates, alongside regular production fixes.
What I built.
- Scheduling and rescheduling screens
- Pre-check-in and visit-specific history forms
- Patient session and provider calendar work
- Fixes to therapy web forms
- CodePush setup and release work
My changes covered booking and rescheduling, intake forms for each visit type, patient sessions, provider calendars and app releases.
Web and mobile work by Talha Manzoor and team at PsychPlus. The product belongs to PsychPlus.
What I learned.
Test a booking flow from start to finish, not screen by screen. Time zones, form data and the screens around booking break just as often as the booking screen itself.
If your app has booking, onboarding or long forms, I can review how the screens connect and plan the fixes or new work.
